Hey all...I have a question. I need to know where there are some Bible verses that explain to a child how such tragic things as the Tsunami can happen. I was asked a question "how can God let the kids get killed". So I figured maybe you all could give me some verses that would explain or maybe at least give an explanation of some sort for these kinds of questions. I have read some but I may have overlooked them. Thanks a bunch.

Crystal; That my dear is the million dollar question! If we only knew what God had on his mind we would definately not be on this side of the universe. He did say that one day we would know everything as He does. In a nut shell there are hundreds of verses to explain why -- if we knew God's reason for a specific thing.
For Instance; The only command with a promise is Honor thy Father and Mother that your days may be long on this earth. Exodus 20 (If this was the case for those children it may have been discipline)
Or; For thousands to recognize its not all about them but in helping others--Mark 4:36
Or; To instill Compassion in the countries-- Weep with those who weep... Romans 12:15 Matt5:4
Or; To build character and faith-- 2 cor 7:4
Or; To restore fellowship with those He wants to reach, we were created for a purpose and one is to fellowship and Glorify God rev 4:11 Ps 149:4a
He is Infinite and we so finite. At a wave of his hand he can call His children home and I believe that those children that were under the age of accountability were with Christ in an instant and would not come back even if given the opportunity.
I hope this helps a little, there are just so many posibilities we won't know till we meet Him face to face but we can be SURE it was the best plan because it was GOD's.

Thanks a bunch. I will read those. I agree that Gods will is the best. He wouldnt have done it all for nothing and I dont know about anyone else, but I cant wait to (hopefully) get to see HIM and all else that is in Heaven. I too agree that those children were with him in an instant. ;D Thanks again so much.

I think that everything happens for a reason. you no we pray about alot of things. A freind told me one time he prayed about something and God did'nt answer it. I told him that God did answer it in one way or the other. Might not be the way you wanted it be i'm sure it was answered. What do you all think about this?// ?

Sometimes in life we over look just exactly what God has done for us. I hadnt read this post in a while, but I have to agree with Trueracer. God is gonna answer our prayers, maybe not like we would like them to be sometimes, but his way is the best way in the end. I had a friend who thought the same thing about praying for money. He was out of a job and asking God for money. I told him to change his prayer from money to a job that helped get the money. Not long after, he was working again. Trust me, prayer does work. Just ask my dad, he came thru his transplant no problems at all. He can out work and out do all of us put together. It pays to have friends in "high" places, lol. Doesnt it say somewhere...The fervent prayer of the righteous availath much? Or something like that. Anyways, take care. Love yall.
