Super Late Model Tripleheader This Weekend!
$6,200 Possible to Win!
Super Late Model racing in North Mississippi and Northwest Alabama steps up this weekend featuring three big nights of racing for the competitors and the fans with $6,200 possible to win. Cooperation among promoters has led to giving the ability for all tracks to get maximum car counts and fan attendance. There are no scheduling conflicts and there is also a points fund put up by the promoters for the drivers based on performance across the three nights of action. Races to be held include Rebel Challenge Series Thursday night at Columbus Speedway, MSCCS Friday night at North Alabama Speedway, and MSCCS Saturday night at Pine Ridge Speedway. Tri-State Challenge Late Model Stocks will be on the card at all events as well.
There is a $1,000 driver point fund that will be distributed to the top three drivers after the completion of all three events. It is as follows:
1-$500 2-$300 3-$200.
Action will get kicked off at Columbus Speedway with Brown Engineering Thursday Night Thunder featuring the Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing Series in a DOUBLE Rebel Challenge points event that will pay at least $1,200 to win for the 30 lapper and possibly $1,500 to win with 33 cars or more entered. There will also be championship events for both the Tri-State Challenge Late Model Stocks and Open Wheel Modifieds that pay $600 to win and $800 to win if 30 cars or more are entered. Only three classes will be running with an emphasis on getting done early because of being a week night show. All cars will time trial as well. Fans should note that grandstand admission is only $7.00 with children ages 12 and under admitted fore free. It is the bargain of the season. Racetime is 8pm. For more information including event pay outs and details, please visit www.columbusspeedway.net .
Then battleground shifts north on Friday night as the MSCCS will make its only 2006 appearance of the year at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama featuring a $2,000 to win and $250 to start 40-lap main event for the Tri-State area racers and MSCCS regulars. The South’s Action Track is well known for providing some of the most intense racing in the south and this event should be no different. All local divisions will be in action. Adult grandstand admission is $15 with children 12 and under admitted free. Racetime is 8pm. For more information please visit www.northalabamaspeedway.com or www.stateseries.com.
The big Alassippi Trifecta weekend will culminate at Pine Ridge Speedway in Baldwyn, Mississippi as the MSCCS tour will go 50 laps with $2,500 to win and $300 to start on the line. Pine Ridge has incurred a variety of improvements under the guidance on first year promoter Jason Steele including positive reviews for the revamped racing surface at the picturesque semi banked ¼-mile speedway. All local divisions will be in action. Adult grandstand admission is $15 with children ages 12 to 4 $5, and ages 3 and under free. Racetime is 7pm.
