Sprint Cars Set To Debut at 64 Speedway
August, Arkansas, For the first time in the tracks history, Winged Sprint Cars will wage war on the 3/8 mile, clay oval. The debut of the 360ci Sprint Car class at 64 Speedway will be on May 13th, 2006. A few different Sprint Car drivers have made exhibition laps on the racey oval, and the results have been unbelievable. Track owner, Doug Aden, comments We had one of our local Sprint Car drivers make a few laps about a month ago, and the fans were loving every minute of it. One car was exciting, but when we get a full field on the track here at 64 Speedway, the results will be nothing short of spectacular!
64 Speedway is scheduled to host a total of nine Sprint Car shows in 2006 including an invasion by the ASCS Midsouth Region on June 17th, 2006.
64 Speedway has endured a few different owners in its short existence. DAMAR. LLC, a company based out of Little Rock Arkansas Purchased the track, in late 2005 and has made countless improvements to the track and facilities. The addition of Sprint Cars to the 2006 schedule is just another example of DAMARs efforts to make 64 Speedway the top race track in Arkansas.
